Allopathic medicine is considered the mainstream. There are far more allopathic medical schools than there are osteopathic medical schools. The field is older and more established than osteopathic medicine. At one time, allopathic medicine was great. It’s become corrupted.
Allopathy is used to describe a style of medicine that is science-based and modern. Its use started in the 1800s and have become synonymous with “evidence based medicine” (EBM).
